Domino master David Luxembourg awarding Lea Liabastre Chopin the Intern League Luxembourg DD Trophy.

The Happy Winner Lea.

First and second place Lea and Daniela.

And of course Lea's Luxembourg Domino Dojo Certificate.

Her final assignment was to build a Domino architecture building, which looked like a church. it was quite interesting:

Here it is when its finished:

And here is another variation of it that I made:

Well... and that's it, a new Luxembourg Draw Dominoes Disciple is certified :P

Mmm....mmmmmm...

Today's games results: 11/6

The final week of the Intern League continues and these are the results for today's Final Game:

Friday:
Lunch 13:00
(3 rounds)
David -38
Daniela -28
Lea-3

The Game opens well for Lea and it stays that way! with lea collecting only 3 points in round 2 and winning round 3. David had a bright spot Toddy with 1 victory at round 2, but with the dark clouds of 27 point in round 1 and 11 points in round3, this victory are is of no use.Daniela was deprived of any victory in today's game collecting 5,11, and 12 point in rounds 1,2,3 respectively and falling behind Lea with 5 points.

Its a sweet victory for Lea who literally snatched it from Daniela's hands in the final and a bitter sweet victory for David to his latest protegee wins this lengthy tournament. regardless Daniela feels quite happy too.

And here are the final results of the Intern League.
Intern League:
(130 rounds /42 Games)
David -1245
Daniela -1135
Lea -1130

Thursday, 10 June 2010

Today's games results: 10/6

The final week of the Intern League continues and these are the results for today:

Thursday:
Lunch 13:00
(3 rounds)
David -24
Daniela -26
Lea-12

With only 2 more games to go David's situation is hopeless and he focused on preventing Daniela from keeping her lead (by going easy on/ helping Lea). Lea is holding on fine (with or with
David's help) and after her last 'disaster' on Monday, where she collected 63 points, she has successfully cut down on her losses and closed the distance to 20 points between her and Daniela who is in the lead.

And here is how things stand:

Intern League:
(127 rounds /41 Games)
David -1207
Daniela -1107
Lea -1127

Wednesday, 9 June 2010

Today's games results: 9/6

This is the final week of the Intern League and this is what we had so far:

Monday:
coffee break 11:00
(3 rounds)
David -32
Daniela -27
Lea-63

Daniela is back in
shape David is having hard time pushing her back - all of David's point were collected in the last round, after Daniela smartly locked the game with 5's.

Tuesday:
Coffee break 11:00
(3 rounds)
David -28
Daniela -19
Lea -17

David slips further back as Daniela sticks to the lead. god game for Lea, but not good enough to bring her into the top position. she needs to loose less while David and Daniela are busy tackling each other.

Lunch 01:00
(5 rounds)
David -13
Daniela -3
Lea -14

Looks like its all over for David as he reaches the bottom of the league with 1127 points, 55 behind Daniela and 4 behind Lea. best he can do now is 2nd place.

Wednesday
Coffee break 11:00
(3 rounds)
3 Rounds:
David -13
Daniela -0
Lea -19

Lunch 01:00
(3 rounds)
3 Rounds:
David -43
Daniela -9
Lea -8

The disaster of David continues. Now 100 points away from Daniela's lead it all seams hopeless. maybe he spent all his luck when winning the Luxembourg DD Tournament. its amazing that Daniela who have performed so badly on that event is now dominating the Intern league - perhaps that last blow was too much for her and now she wants to get back in shape.

With only a few games left till the end of the league this is how things are standing at the middle of the last week in the league:

Lea - 1151
Daniela - 1081
David -1183

Stay Tuned!

Domino Architecture Challange JUNE.

And here this months Domino architecture challenge:

The rules are simple:

a.To build this bridge you can use domino tiles only and only 2 hands /10 fingers (so no glue or sticks, or any other smart stuff) .
b.You may use only 1 set of domino of double sixes - 28 tiles in total.
c.You must use all the 28 tiles of the set.

The solution is the building process of the challenge and must be sent documented in the following stages:
1) when the first 8 domino tiles are in place.
2) when you have 18 domino tiles in place.
3) when you have 25 domino tiles in place.
4) when all the domino tiles are in use, but not in place (this is a hint!).
5) when the challenge is complete.

If you need an introduction to the art of domino architecture - click here.

The solution/These 5 images must be to the following email address: fortune_chickens@hotmail.com, with the sentence 'Domino Architecture Challenge' as subject, Before the June 29th 2010.

Between the first 3 persons that will send the correct solution I will hold a raffle (like pulling the winning name out of a hat containing all 3 names). The winner of the raffle will win a fortune chicken*.

* Considering he lives either in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, or Germany. If you live any where else - no chicken. sorry.

I will publish the correct solution in the beginning of July.

Good Luck!

Domino Dojo Master

Ps.

By the way this is a fortune chicken.
